Nancy Kman. Me, Myself, and I.

Nancy Kman is the, or a, boss up there at WILK the radio station on the hill.   It only takes listening to her on the air with Webster for a few minutes to figure out who is in charge.  No wonder Webster needs a beer by Friday morning.  Nancy knows all and has all the answers.   Just count how many times she uses the words I and me during the morning show.  Her concept of the show is that people listen and call in to find out what she thinks.  Just listen if you can stand it without poking needles in your eyes.

Steve Corbett...it really is simple!

WILK's Steve Corbett could be the poster child for communism.  While he proclaims to be a patriotic American he criticizes practically everything about our American Representative Democracy.  He is simply not able to intellectually connect the dots between employers paying more in wages, benefits and taxes and how they affect profitability, jobs and consumer prices.

Recently Corbett was barking about the tax system with his usual the rich should pay more. A caller cited the IRS stats that the top 5 % of taxpayers are paying over 50% of the taxes.  As anyone who has ever listened to captain blow hard knows he never lets the facts get in the way of his opinion.  He retorted with one of his usual comebacks,  "I don't think its that simple".  That's his way of dissing the caller when he doesn't have an intelligent response.

No Steve, the caller was correct.  Health care is NOT in the constitution. As liberals do he justs says that in his opinion it's in there somewhere.  So when it came to finding health care in the constitution he proudly yelps, "it's that simple".

So when it is HIS opinion, it's simple, if not, then it's just too complicated for us to understand and discuss. A good example of that is anytime a caller tries to discuss what is or is not in the constitution Corbett immediately cuts them off with the usual, "you are not a constitutional scholar", therefore you are not intelligent enough to know what a complicated document like the constitution says.  One does not need a PhD to read, understand and discuss the constitution.

Far left liberals like Steve Corbett use these kinds of tactics because they can't win these debates with facts.   When facts get in the way they just dismiss them with the "it's not that simple" type of rebuttal.

Ann Coulter describes the liberal debate style.  It fits Corbett like a glove.

"Words mean nothing to liberals. They say whatever will help advance their cause at the moment, switch talking points in a heartbeat, and then act indignant if anyone uses the exact same argument they were using five minutes ago."

Ann must have heard the Steve Corbett show.

Corporate Greed protestors are morons!

If you believe that corporate greed is the reason there are no jobs, that is probably why you are unemployed.  You are a moron.  What is "corporate greed"?   A CEO or president of a company that makes more money than you think they should?  A corporation that makes too much money?

A corporation that "makes too much money",  hires tens of thousands of employees in order to make that much money.  The more money a corporation makes means more money goes to the "owners" of that corporation, "shareholders" in the form of dividends and/or increased stock price.

If you are not making enough money it is not because someone else makes too much and there is not enough money left for you.  It is because you are spending too much time complaining, wallowing, and protesting instead of working.

Let's say Entercom Communications employer of the lovely dope Nancy Kman, is one of those greedy corporations.  Entercom is a $215 million dollar company.  Nowhere near the size of Exxon but $215 million is way more than they need to make, right.  So what are they to do?   In order to reduce their greed they should layoff some or all of their sales staff to stop selling so much.to reduce how much money they make.  As sales come down to a more "reasonable level"  then they could layoff office staff, engineers, etc.  Well they would have to layoff employees because they won't be making as much money.   As they start to reduce the amount of money they make, their profits will also drop.  The people who own the corporation, (shareholders), would also make less money on dividends and stock value. As Entercom became a smaller more reasonable less greedy company there would be many more jobs created somewhere else in the economy, so, you morons that are protesting would then be able to get jobs, right?

Next time you are listening to Nancy and Webster..... count how many times Nancy says "I".   You WILL lose count....

Just sayin..............

Urban Changes to Democrat!

Steve Urban held a press conference today to announce that he is switching political parties and will become a democrat.  He claims it is due to some double dealings that occurred during the last election including some republican committee members supporting John Yudichak, who by the way beat Urban handily for the Senate seat vacated by Senator Musto.  Let's see, Urban is losing his County Commissioner job next year.  He lost two elections, one for Lieutenant Governor, and one for Senator.  He will be unemployed after next year unless he can find an office for which he can run, AND WIN!  Urban lives in Wilkes-Barre. Can you name any elected officials from Wilkes Barre that are republican?  Magistrates, mayor, State Representative?  So, write this down, we say that Urban will be running in the primary in May of 2011 as a democrat from Wilkes Barre for one or more political offices.  Will he win?  He has a chance as a democrat.

Webster and Nancy

WILK made a great move getting rid of Kevin Lynn and adding John Webster.  Kevin Lynn by the way is now out of another job with the loss of Kanjorski.   Webster has been a great addition.  Now if they would get rid of Nancy it would be an even bigger improvement.  Nancy know it all Kman has continued the obnoxious left wing antics of Kevin Lynn.  You can sense Websters frustration when he is trying to have a reasonable discussion on an issue or making a point with facts and Nancy just dismisses his point regardless of the facts.  Webster does a good job at maintaining his composure even though he sometimes would like to just bop Nancy on the head and tell her to shut up.

Corbett the Communist.

Ok, let's start with Corbett, that's Steve not Tom, the liberal, left wing communist, that WILK radio pays to blabber on their airwaves everday.  If only all of our elected officials would read Steve's cccccolumns they would have all the answers and could solve the worlds problems.  Because once Steve writes a cccccolumn about IT, IT is solved.  CASE CLOSED.  Well, we the common sense folk know he is just like a hot air balloon;  a big head, full of hot air.  Corbett exemplifies the typical democrat brainwashed mentality of the generations of hardworking people of NEPA that were beaten down by the unions to believe that the Democrat Party is the party of the poor working man and the Republicans are for the rich.  That class warfare crap has been going on for generations.  Just read his recent column to see the vitriol with which Steve carries on that mantra.  He is not a journalist. He does not provide news.  He is not objective, fair or reasonable.  He is just another talk show host with an opinion and an attitude.

Welcome to the NEPA Voice!

Welcome to the NEPA Voice.  A place for common sense ideas, thoughts, and commentary.  We will be responding to events, comments, and such from local politicos, newspaper, TV, and radio reporters and personalities.  This will not be a "bi-partisian" discussion.  We make no claims to be a non-biased "news" reporting type entity, even though most of those are not objective anyway.  They just don't admit it and usually do a pretty good job at masking their political slant.  All topics are open for discussion.  Except that we will keep it clean with language etc. and no adult content. I'm sure you know where to find that if you want to.
So now that some ground rules are taken care of sit back, stay tuned, crack open your favorite beverage and get ready for some great stuff.  (That's a technical term for more to come.)
